This 1930s FW Elliott Station Clock was made in England and was commonly seen in train stations around the world. This particular model was shipped to South Africa sometime in the 1930s for use in the country’s ever-expanding railway network. Station clocks like this one kept time immaculately to help ensure that trains ran on time and customers stayed informed. The clock’s wooden case, brass frame and glass have been expertly restored.
This clock does not have its original FW Elliott movement, but contains a manual winding 8-day restored movement from another station clock from a similar period.
